I presented my “Introduction to Cloud computing” presentation to some people at our Wellington office today, Both presentations where well attended and had some great questions asked. I will be posting the presentation on my blog soon.

The flight down was interesting 1st out i was delayed by 1 our due to fog at Auckland airport. the Flight down was excellent with a good view of New Zealand, what a great place I live. Snow on the mounts and great rivers flowing into the sea.

On the was into Wellington I spotted two of the interisland ferries, looked a bit rough down there glad i was not on the ferry

The return flight to Auckland was on time and excellent as usual thanks Air New Zealand Oh and I still love the safety instructions by the painted crew sure makes me watch the safety video

Condom Factory burns down in Australia!

  Kevin Rudd, Prime Minister of Australia, is awoken at 4am by the telephone.

Kevin, its the health Minister here.   Sorry to bother you at this hour

but there is an emergency!!!    I’ve just received word that the Durex

factory in Sydney has burned to the ground.   It is estimated that the

  entire Australian supply of condoms will be gone by the end of the week!

PM: ‘SHIT!!!  – the economy will never be able to cope with all those

unwanted babies -  we’ll be ruined!!’

Health Minister: ‘We’re going to have to ship some in from….Britain?’

PM: ‘No  chance!! The Poms will have a field day on this one!!’

  Health Minister: ‘What about New Zealand ?’

PM: ‘I’ll  call John Key – tell him we need ten million condoms;   ten

  inches long and eight inches thick!!   That way they’ll continue to

  respect the wallabies!’

  Three days later a delighted Kevin rushes out to open  the boxes.

  He finds ten million condoms, 10 inches long, 8  inches thick, all

   coloured black and white with small writing on each one…

   MADE IN  NEW ZEALAND

I spotted this news article in the UK Mail news paper giving VERY BAD press to New Zealand saying that English people had been living here in NZ for sometime and where working however have now lost there jobs, and as such been asked to leave NZ.

This is normal practice in most countries where the person only has a work permit (IE. a temp permit to work). this is not happening to Permanent Residence like myself who qualify to stay here in NZ for the rest of my life.
