Salesforce.com and Cisco announced a partnership today that brings together Salesforce.com’s online customer service software with Cisco’s strengths in IP Telephony. The service, called “Customer Interaction Cloud,” is designed to provide a complete, cloud-based customer service offering for small to medium sized businesses.
The offering integrates Salesforce.com Service Cloud 2 to Cisco’s Unified Contact Center, providing an extension for Salesforce.com offerings. The partnership further demonstrates Salesforce.com efforts to partner with third parties instead of developing their own technology

THORPE Park is hoping to make sure customers do not need to kick up a stink about body odour during soaring temperatures expected on Wednesday, by asking sweating thrill-seekers to keep their arms down while enjoying the more extreme rides and rollercoasters.
The Chertsey theme park is installing ‘Say NO to BO’ signs in queue lines for the likes of Stealth, Colossus and Nemesis Inferno.
With temperatures forecast to hit 28C on Wednesday, it said the aim of the gimmick was to “improve everybody’s day”.

Microsoft has massively accelerated delivery of the next version of its desktop enterprise virtualization software, while unveiling the next release of its Application Virtualization, aka App-V.
MED-V 2.0 will now be released to manufacturing at the end of October, soon after the release of Windows 7 on October 22. The initial plan had been for a MED-V 2.0 beta “sometime” during the first quarter of 2010, with RTM code presumably after that.
